Driving in New Jersey requires skill, knowledge and behind the wheel training. We can provide all necessary instruction for becoming a safe skilled driver. The primary purpose of our driver education program is to save lives and reduce motor vehicle accidents. Don-Tre will provide education and supervised instruction on the fundamental skills of driving.

Don-Tre is owned and operated by Donald & Peter Carpenter. This family business was established in 1988 and has been serving Union, Essex, Morris, Somerset and Ocean counties and it’s young drivers since.

Donald Carpenter is certified through the New Jersey State Department of Education, NJDMV and National Safety Council as a driving instructor. In addition to the above qualifications, Don has been employed for 45 years as a teacher, coach and presently Director of Athletics for the New Providence School District. Peter joined the business fifteen years ago as an instructor and office and personnel manager.

Don-Tre Staff
Our staff includes teachers, coaches, and educational administrators in local communities and are trained to meet the educational needs of all types of student learners. Our instructors have been personally trained by the owners and certified as New Jersey State Defensive Driving Instructors. All staff is fully licensed by NJMVC as commercial driving instructors. All Don-Tre employees are insured and bonded as required by the State of New Jersey.

Our Vehicles
All Don-Tre Driving vehicles are equipped with dual brakes and meet all New Jersey State Regulations. All vehicles are registered insured and maintained by Don-Tre Driving School. All instructors and students are insured at the maximum level allowed by law during all instruction. All vehicles are 2006 & 2007 Honda Civics, providing the latest in safety and reliability for your comfort and protection.
